Interview: Sony's Phil Harrison on Home, LittleBigPlanet, Microtransactions, and Less Trickery

http://blog.wired.com/games/2007/03/interview_sonys.html

It's pretty long, so I won't copy and paste.  But I'd recommend it. :D

It is a good read, but what do you want me to say. Sony has been doing an amazing job past few months and taking bashing after bashing, it is still their crown in the gaming world. It might not show in numbers, but for the long run and potential PS3 is first in this generation, but MSoft will be close behind.

well compared to people who go to college and have to read all the time this read was very small and quick. it was interesting but i will wait to get excited once all this stuff is officially announced and confirmed with more detail when it comes out.

That was a really long read, Im suprised I even went through it seeming as I already watched the keynote lol. It was a good read, and I was confident in PlayStation before, and I still am. I didnt even care about achievements and now they are making something better than it :D. In fact, I was literally arguing to my friend that PS doesnt need achievements type of stuff the DAY before Home was announced. Lol then it was announced..and I thought..this is even better. I know there were leeks on the net about Home like a week before but ya. Sony = tthe sh!t

" Sorry to sound like a broken record, but measure this over a ten-year cycle and not over a three-month cycle. PlayStation 3 has got all the things that we need in order to maintain not only our market leadership but also our growth in the entire industry. We've got the hardware, we've got the software, we've got the network services, we've got the multiple media offerings. I'm very comfortable. "

Phil is probably one of the best spokesmen in the video gaming industry i have ever seen. This was a great read and very understandable (imagine if Kaz was interviewed!!!! HIYEEEEEE my head would implode). Can't wait for LittleBigPlanet and HOME.

Yeah Phil's good at talking, I just hope that they fix PSN a bit before Home launches in Fall.

;) he talks well. easily the most well-spoken of the Sony execs. He needs to do more talking, Haz and Ken need to do much less.
